LA is definitely not short on Japanese food. Whether the food id good or not is another matter. Eggplant in North Hollywood is a small Japanese restaurant that serves uniques types of dishes. They sit right near the busy part of Ventura but not in the part that takes an hour to get a parking spot. All of their food is very healthy and has no MSG. You can order things like tempura (which is very light and crunchy) or if you are more adventurous, you can order the Hot Honey Crispy Rice. This dish is a crispy rice topped with salmon that been bathed in a sweet and spicy miso sauce. Another dish that is of equal splendor is the Agedashi. This pillow of velvety tofu lays in a pool of the special sauce. One of my favorite dishes is soft sell crab and here they serve it justice. The crab is delicate but its flavor should not be taken lightly. The whole experience of biting into soft shell crab is a trip of its own. If you still have room left, they serve a mean ginger ice cream that has just enough ginger and just enough sugar and cream. Not only was the food good but the service was also exemplary. The staff was really kind and while eating you could still hear yourself think and see what you were eating. Don't worry if you don't like eggplant, the have plenty of other things to spread a smile upon your face.

Currywurst
When people think of German food, they don't normally think of fusion. They think of German sausages that are good, but plain. Hello Currywurst. Currywurst is a traditional German street food that has now been brought to your neighborhood. It is a German sausage that is drenched in a rich Curry Ketchup sauce. Prepare for your face to get dirty at Currywurst where you will devour yours like there is no tomorrow. At Currywurst you can also get Hungarian, Thuringer chicken, and even Vegan sausage. You can add sorts of delicious topping, including mouthwatering sautéed onions and sauerkraut that is full of texture and bite. If you get the combo be sure to order garlic fries are so good that you won't mind the breath. Currywurst is definitely not your average sausage.

Osteria Mamma
Just writing about this restaurant makes me ache to go there. It's that good. L.A. is just filled with Italian restaurants. So which one to go to? The search is over. Osteria Mama is perfect! It's convenient, delicious, fresh, and everything is homemade. They make everything from to pizza, pasta, calamari etc......But what really makes them special is that they don't just serve any old pasta. The serve handmade black squid ink pasta with fresh tomatoes and shrimp as well as any other delicious sounding pasta. Like I said...It's that good.....

MILK
MILK
7290 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036
323 939 6455
On a hot day, I always want to go to MILK. They have some delicious ice cream and ice cream sandwiches which is pretty pricey, but worth it (on a special occasion). My brother always asks for the mac + cheese, but I prefer their special soups which change every once and a while. We never leave without getting some ice cream. I get coffee toffee which, is comes in an ice cream sandwich flavor. Instead of a cookie, the ice cream sandwiches have a macaroon surrounding the ice cream. This post has got me hungry.
I am leaving to get ice cream.

Fat Fish
3300 W 6th St
Los Angeles, CA 90020
LA is a great city with great food from all over the world. One of my favorite types of food is sushi, and the greatest place for cool yummy sushi is Fat Fish. Their sushi is served on a conveyor belt so, you just sit and eat. They also have great prices. During happy hour all dishes of the conveyor belt are $2. The staff is super friendly. They also sport cool decor and plates. Every week they have a special on oysters in the half shell. they are always delicious and fresh from Canada.

M Cafe
M Cafe
7119 Melrose Avenue
Hollywood, CA 90046
Telephone: 323.525.0588
If you're looking for a light tasty meal with a little bit of an asian touch M Cafe is the place to be.
They make a great miso soup and a cold soba salad goes great with it. In their "deli" couter they have all different kinds of cold unusual salads like the Tuna Taki Salad or the more traditional (with a twist) M Chopped Salad. Sit down on one of thier rustic benches or take it to go with a green kale lemonade.
